BACA took part in this year’s World’s Biggest Coffee Morning event in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support and helped raise hundreds of pounds for the charity.
Busy big-hearted BACA bakers created cakes and tasty treats to sell at the annual fundraiser staged on September 29th, which proved popular with sweet-toothed team members and customers alike at BACA’s headquarters in Northampton.
BACA staff and customers tucked into sweet treats and made generous donations to help raise as much money as possible.
BACA’s brave Trade Shop manager Andy Farmer inspired rising cake sales on the day by agreeing to have a huge cream cake shoved in his face when the money raised topped £200.
He said: “I agreed to having a cake splattered in my face if we reached the £200 mark during the day of fundraising – I’m still removing bits of cake! I didn’t mind though as it was all in a good cause.
“This is the third year BACA have taken part and it has proved a record year for us as we’ve raised over £1,000!”
BACA Managing Director Marc Calder said: “We are delighted to have raised so much money for such a worthy cause. Thanks to all the BACA team who baked cakes and to our customers and staff who took part in the sale helping us raise hundreds of pounds for the charity.”
